History
The dual naming of the Werrunangity larr Wimmerata Library took place in November 2019.
Werrunangity larr Wimmerata (pronounced: Wherroon narn kitch – larr – Wimmerartar) means 'a quiet place in the Wimmera' in the local Wergaia language.
The official naming was the result of extensive teamwork and community consultation between local Aboriginal Elders, land councils, our Aboriginal Education Centre, as well as library and campus leadership.
