An evening on Specialty Brewing (Food Processing)

**NEW DATE ALERT** now on the 1st of DecemberFederation TAFE's FBP30121 Certificate III in Food Processing (Brewing) is an exciting new course that will enhance your skills at creating the perfect beer. This course covers the science and practical aspects of brewing. You will learn the importance of raw materials and their production; the science of wort production; different yeasts and the fermentation process; and how all of these influence beer flavour.You will experience various styles of beer, discuss beer evaluation and taste a range of beer faults.  This course is suitable for any employees already working in the brewing industry, those that want to advance their brewing knowledge looking to own their own microbrewery or simply improve their home brew. We have partnered up with the Australian Craft Beer Centre of Excellence (Aunty Jacks) in Ballarat. You will be learning from Peter Aldred, known as “Dr Beer”, who is the head brewer of Aunty Jacks and comes with an extensive CV including a PhD in Biochemistry, Diploma in Brewing & Distilling, Judge for the Australian International Beer Awards and was a past employee of CUB.  The practical training will take place in the state of the art facilities of Aunty Jacks!   Thurs 1 Dec     Online Meeting6pmMicrosoft TEAMS meeting invite will be sent to you after registering
