Ria’s main research interests are within the broad field of developmental psychology. She is particularly interested in investigating the development of social cognitive understanding among typically developing and deaf children and adolescents. Within the domain of social cognition, she has researched the development of theory of mind and emotion understanding and examining the links with social functioning in the classroom.
