Online newspaper access
Posted: Monday 7 March 2022The Library has subscribed to the Newsbank Access Australia Database, which contains over 700 entries covering National, State and local newspapers and other news sources, including mastheads such as The Australian, Herald Sun, The Age, Ballarat Courier, and many others.
Many titles are available as an image edition, replicating the look of the actual newspaper, as well as text and html editions, which are fully searchable.
With some titles in the database having entries dating back to 1988, Newsbank Access Australia Database can also be used as a searchable archive of Australian news stories.
To access, search for Newsbank in the QuickSearch or Catalogue tabs on the Library homepage, and click through to the database.
