Auto renewals - you asked, we delivered!

Posted: Monday 1 February 2021
The Library is pleased to announce that auto renewals are now available to all our borrowers for nearly all types of loans. From the start of Semester 1, most Library items will be automatically renewed up to 20 times.

Borrowers will continue to receive a courtesy email from the Library 3 days prior to the due date of the item/s, and now the message will indicate if the item has been automatically renewed, together with the new due date which is calculated from the previous due date (not from the date of renewal).

All eligible items appearing on courtesy notices are automatically renewed unless the renewal limit is reached, or there is an outstanding hold on the item, or the borrower is blocked due to other overdue item/s. So in most cases no action is required by you, although you can continue to check the status of your loans and holds anytime via your My Library login or the MyLibrary! app.

In the case of exceptions that are not automatically renewed (such as laptops and other equipment) we recommend you contact Library staff at the InfoPoint by phone on 1300 552 567, and chat or email at https://libanswers.federation.edu.au/library.
