Uni Skills Day
Starting uni can be daunting. The research. The essays and reports. The online systems. Our Uni Skills Day will give you the head start you need.

You’ll get to:

  • pull apart assessment tasks
  • meet other students
  • explore Moodle (online study platform)
  • learn time-management strategies
  • find out about our study support services.

Refresh your study skills

Not sure what to expect when you start at uni? Don't worry, our short (but comprehensive) FedReady course will give you the best possible start.

It's totally free and available live or online before Orientation kicks off.

You'll learn how to:

  • manage your time
  • plan and write assignments
  • think critically
  • reference correctly
  • research efficiently
  • use Federation systems and technology.

Available from 14 February.

What to bring

1 - Student ID number (it's on your Offer Letter).

2 - Laptop, notepad & pen.

3 - Bank card (we're cashless). There’ll be loads of free food, but if you want a coffee or something extra, you'll need to tap.

4 - Smile and an open mind. Bring excitement to meet new people and explore campus life.

5 - Dress comfortably, and don’t forget your questions—this is your chance to get answers!
