Biography

Nanette is a registered Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience working with child, adolescent, and adult clients in public health (acute and mental health), educational, and private practice settings. Nanette has been involved in the training of psychologists and colleagues from related professions throughout her career. Initially this formed part of her clinical work in hospital outpatient settings, and involved professional development of colleagues from a range of disciplines, as well as mentoring and supervision of early career professionals and psychology students. Nanette’s passion for the profession of psychology, and for mentoring new psychologists, drew her to tertiary education in this fascinating field.

Nanette is on staff in the Institute of Health and Wellbeing. She is as a member of the Collaborative Evaluation and Research Centre and the Health Innovation and Transformation Centre at Federation University.

Nanette is a member of the Clinical College of the Australian Psychological Society (APS). She is also a member of the Psychology Education Interest Group and is currently treasurer of the Psychoanalytically Oriented Psychologists Interest Group (POPIG).

Nanette’s clinical work informs both her teaching and her research interests.
