Feeling nervous? That's normal. But we know how you can make your transition to uni easier: get amongst it at Orientation.

As you’re a Melbourne City Institute of Sport & Business student, studying with Federation University, your Orientation will be something special! Mark Monday 17 and Wednesday 16 July 2025 in your diary. Classes start Monday, 21 July.

Orientation is compulsory because it gives you everything you need to start strong — from course information to meeting your lecturers and support crew (and who can say no to a free lunch?). There's no need to register, we will automatically send you reminders.

What to bring

1 - Student ID number (it's on your Offer Letter).

2 - Notepad and pen (both days), and your laptop on Tuesday only.

3 - Bank card (we're cashless). There’ll be loads of free food, but if you want a coffee or something extra, you'll need to tap.

4 - Smile and an open mind. Bring excitement to meet new people and explore campus life.

5 - Dress comfortably, and don’t forget your questions—this is your chance to get answers!
