A uni experience that opens doors
Nikki Shea-Simonds studied a Bachelor of Community and Human Services at the Mount Helen campus. She said the experience reignited her passion for study and helped pave the way for a new career. “Even now, through placement and industry networking there are employment opportunities arising. I am finding that the course content is enhancing my skillsets to work anywhere from community organisations to individual casework and even to teaching”.
“You absolutely feel that you are an active member of the campus community and not lost in the crowd. As a mature aged student, I was apprehensive about returning to full time study but my experience at Fed has been one of feeling part of a supportive community. Having had some challenging times this year, I have experienced student support as being outstanding and easy to access. I feel the best thing about Fed is the sense of community and connectedness between staff and students.”
“There really is a world of opportunities for graduates to enter the sector in an area they are passionate about”.
