What are some of your career highlights?

Upon completion of my Bachelor of Nursing, I received my job offer to start my career in Nursing.  I received offers from both Hospitals, namely:  Penninsula Health and Monash Health.  I decided to accept my job offer from Monash Health.  I will be commencing my first job in 2023 as a registered nurse at Monash Health.

Describe the most enjoyable and challenging aspects of your job

The most enjoyable part of the nursing job has been, being able to help another person recover, and being able to put a smile on the persons face.  Being a part of helping to save another person's life is the best and most enjoyable aspect of the job.

In terms of challenges, it can be emotionally draining, especially when dealing with pediatric patients.  Sometimes it is challenging to see no improvements in the patient and see the patient suffer despite you and the team trying your best.  This is the biggest challenge.

What are your strongest memories while you were studying at Federation University?

Strongest memory at University would definitely be making friends from a diverse multi diverse community.  Meeting people from all over the world, sharing different cuisines and traditions, learning from one another was a beautiful memory.  Making friends from all over the world allowed me to explore a part of life which I never knew existed before.

Do you have any advice about life after study to pass on to current students?

Although finishing a degree may seem exciting, never stop exploring or learning.  Every day comes with its own challenges and especially being in the healthcare sector.  Not a day goes by without you learning something new.

Develop yourself and your career, because it will definitely take you a long way.
