JUNIPER, Peter

Peter Juniper is now a retired civil engineer and remains a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers Australia. On graduation in 1973 he gained employment with a Melbourne firm of consulting civil and structural engineers and then the Victorian Ministry of Transport. Following this he had over forty years’ experience working with the timber and associated industries, holding a range of technical, marketing, management, executive and Board positions. He played an active role in research, standards development and industry policy and held CEO positions at Pine Australia and the Plantation Timber Association of Australia.

Following retirement from full-time employment in 2012 he established Juniper Consulting and undertook numerous standards, technical and policy related industry projects until his full retirement in 2021. Together with his wife of 51 years, Peter and Robyn now enjoy life mixed with plenty of travel and interaction with their friends, two married children and four grandchildren. They reside in Armadale, Victoria.
