Describe the most enjoyable and challenging aspects of your job
The most enjoyable aspect of my current job and role is that I handle a variety of technical like data load, integration of ERP systems etc. and non-technical tasks like managing a team of 2 (still growing), talk / visit customers to collect requirements etc.
The challenging aspect of this job is that the software I work on (ePAS - Electronic Permitting and Safety) is very capable, which makes it complex too. It takes time to learn and understand it. Also, no two days are the same, which brings huge learnings every day.
What are your strongest memories while you were studying at Federation University?
Getting a job through the University tie-up program made this journey a lot easier for me than I had imagined, which I will always remember and be thankful for.
Also, amazing support staff did many efforts to show us around the city, de-stress from assignments and helped me settle down in the new country, which is worth remembering.
And, my time as a Student Mentor helping others in the same phase that I used to be and organising a Multicultural Program in Brisbane campus, with help of other mentors is one of the unforgettable experiences I had with FedUni.
Do you have any advice about life after study to pass on to current students?
Continue to upgrade yourself with new technologies that the future unfolds. The degree lays a very strong foundation of the IT tam, hence it's so easy for the graduates to understand more and more every day, and this should not stop.
