Bill has over 45 years of broad practical, hands-on experience in Australia in the mining industry, predominantly in the coal sector, covering senior site and project management roles. Roles have included;

• Management of major coal mining operations, encompassing both open-cut and underground.
• Project management of Development Consent processes for new mines as well as for mining continuation.
• Management of Due Diligence with respect to the corporate purchase of existing mining operations and potential projects.
• Contract establishment and construction management for major Infrastructure and building works; [Mine, Rail, Coal Handling and Preparation Plants, Workshops]
• Strategic reviews of mining operations (including mining process optimisation)
• Mining tender submissions, mining equipment specification and selection
• Site Planning; Management and Coordination, Safety Management systems implementation, Human resources and Industrial relations
