Federation University Library is responsible for issuing International Standard Book Numbers (ISBN) and International Standard Serial Numbers (ISSN) for Federation University Australia publications.
If you would like details of your publication made available to Australian libraries, library suppliers, and other members of the book industry for acquisition purposes, you can do this via the National Library of Australia’s Prepublication Data Service.
A copy of all Federation University publications (print or electronic) must be deposited with the National Library of Australia and the State Library of Victoria. Please read about your legal obligations under Commonwealth and State Legal Deposit legislation.
Apply for a DOI
A Digital Object Identifier (DOI) is a persistent, unique identifier of a digital object. The use of DOIs enables the easy permanent identification and citation of your research output.
DOIs for electronic journals, journal articles, books, book chapters and conference proceedings
We can provide you with a DOI for electronic journals, journal articles, books, book chapters and conference proceedings published by Federation University. The publication must be stored in a stable Federation University approved repository, such as Federation ResearchOnline or Federation.figshare. Contact researchonline@federation.edu.au on the process.
DOIs for research datasets and grey literature
A DOI will be automatically generated for research datasets and grey literature (conference papers, book chapters, reports, theses) published on Federation.figshare, and you won’t need to contact us.
