Opportunity to develop your University governance leadership skills
The Academic Board, as the peak academic governing body of the University, is accountable for overseeing the academic governance system to meet the requirements of the Higher Education Standards Framework (Threshold Standards) 2021 and other regulatory standards.
As the expiration of the current elected student member terms approach, nominations are called for eligible students to be elected to the Academic Board, Research Committee or Learning and Teaching Quality Committee for terms commencing 1 October 2025 and ending 1 May 2026.
As an elected representative member, students are provided with a unique leadership opportunity to contribute to University governance decision making, ensuring the student voice is considered across all elements of our academic governance systems. Successful appointment also supports the development of students communication skills, enables access to professional development opportunities, increases networks across the university and active leadership experience to add to your resume.
