Dr Iqbal Gondal has been appointed as Acting Director, at the Internet Commerce Security Laboratory (ICSL), located at the Greenhill Enterprise Centre. ICSL is a key laboratory of the Centre for Informatics and Applied Optimisation (CIAO).

Iqbal has recently come from Monash University where he has been working as Director of ICT Strategy for Faculty of IT and Director postgraduate studies. He developed ICT strategy to implement Information Technology Management Service Model to deliver services to the Faculty in successful and cost effective manners. He brings in expertise in research leadership in areas: remote condition monitoring, sensor networks, wireless networks, data security and big data analytics.
