Kicking tyres and lighting fires

17 July 2023

I am pleased to announce that the Workday configuration phase has been successfully completed, and we are now moving into the testing phase where we get to put the system through its paces.

In this exciting new stage, over the next few months, we will rigorously examine, refine, and confirm our Workday for Federation system.

With over 1,500 scenarios being tested and reviewed, our Workday for Federation prototype will be analysed from top to bottom to help ensure it is ready to support our people management functions.

While excited to prepare leaving behind old legacy systems and processes and soaring towards new heights of efficiency and innovation, there is still significant work to do before we can deliver this high-quality solution that will transform the way we work.  Following testing we will ready the runway by validating and delivering Workday learning materials and job aids.

As we gain momentum, our Change Agent Network is getting ready to guide and support you during the transition to Workday by answering your questions, or by pointing you in the right direction. To find your nearest change agent, visit the 'Get in touch' page.

You are also encouraged to visit the MyWorkday 'Resources' page and start familiarising yourself with key concepts and new terminology in preparation for the journey ahead. Check it out regularly as it continues to grow.

As always, if you would like to share feedback or request more information please do not hesitate to contact me or the workday@federation.edu.au team.
