Soroptimist International is a global movement of women, with members belonging to more than 3,000 clubs in 126 countries/territories, spread over 4 federations. Members of Clubs represent a wide range of occupations, talents and interests. The theme "Soroptimists - Educate to Lead" with a focus on Education, Enable and Empower provides opportunities for members to improve the lives of women and girls world wide.
Value
- $1,000 for undergraduate Gippsland student
- $500 for FedCollege Gippsland student
Eligibility
The Soroptimist International Club of Gippsland have two scholarships available to domestic female students undertaking full time undergraduate studies at either Fed College or at the FedUni Gippsland Campus for the full academic year.
These students must also:
- Be undertaking an undergraduate course of study as a Commonwealth Supported Student (Higher Education Gippsland Campus students only) OR, be undertaking a Fed College course (Fed College Gippsland students)
- Have held a place of residence located in the Gippsland area with a Gippsland postcode for the past five years.
- Be assessed on disadvantaged background which may include one or more of the following: financial, health (particularly mental health, chronic or life-threatening); caring responsibilities, family violence (as victim/survivor or child who witnessed), homelessness, culturally or linguistically diverse.
Registration
To register for the Soroptimist International Scholarship, please complete a KickStart Online Registration Form. If you have already done so, there's no need to do it again. You're registered!
Please note: Do not submit a registration form if you have already done so previously. The registration form only needs to be completed once for you to be considered for ALL KickStart bursaries and grants. If you would like to update your current registration, please go to the KickStart members page to do so.
Student eligibility will be assessed via their KickStart online registration form, and, if deemed eligible, will be contacted for approval for FedUni to submit their name to the Soroptimist International Club of Gippsland for final selection.
