The Brian Mackenzie Gippsland Scholarship was established to honour the life of Emeritus Professor Brian Mackenzie, who was Pro Vice-Chancellor of Monash University Gippsland from 2000-2007.
Professor Mackenzie, who led the Gippsland Campus between 2000 and 2007, made an extensive contribution to not only the university, but the wider community, ushering in a number of major projects that have since become integral to the success of the campus.
Framed by Professor Mackenzie's passion for education, research and regional opportunity, the fund will support a range of initiatives at the Gippsland campus, including student equity scholarships and new programs to help strengthen connections between the campus and communities in the region.

The Bursary is open to domestic students. Selection is based on financial circumstances.
Eligibility
Students must be
- a domestic student
- undertaking an honours degree at the Gippsland Campus
- enrolled for the full academic year.

Applicants will be assessed on financial circumstances.

Please note: Do not submit a registration form if you have already done so previously. The registration form only needs to be completed once for you to be considered for ALL KickStart bursaries and grants. If you would like to update your current registration, please go to the KickStart members page to do so.
Student eligibility will be assessed via their KickStart online registration form, and, if deemed eligible, will be contacted for approval for FedUni to submit their name to the Federation University Australia Foundation for final selection.
