Ros Fyffe Memorial award

Ros was a valued staff member who was passionate about Business and Marketing. Her energetic, friendly and caring nature ensured that students were supported whilst transitioning into university life.

Ros worked closely with first year students as she believed that a student’s initial introduction to university should be a positive and rewarding experience.

Pat Thompson Memorial award

Patrick Thompson (Pat to colleagues and students) was passionate about his teaching and the profession of accounting. His enthusiasm for teaching was infectious and he had a positive impact on many students. Pat believed that accounting was the language of business and students needed to have a solid understanding of the basics.

Pat worked continuously to make accounting interesting and relevant to students and had an ‘open door’ policy for all. Pat dedicated a lot of his time to students, ensuring that their experience with us was positive and rewarding We all miss Pat but take inspiration from the example he set as a gifted teacher.

Lisa Higgins Memorial award

Lisa was a student at the Gippsland Campus who passed away whilst undertaking her studies. Her family commenced an award in her memory for the best Honours student. This award was first presented in 1998.
