Getting ready for Workday and PRDP update

20 September 2023

I hope you are full of enthusiasm for the exciting times ahead!  We are entering a period of significant change, with the implementation of new systems and processes.

To ensure a smooth transition, it's imperative that we all stay informed and aligned with key dates.  This month I am able to provide an update on Performance Review and Development Plans (PRDPs), and important actions you can take now to prepare for our transformation to Workday.  Early preparation will avoid delays and help ensure a smooth transition.

Performance Review and Development Plans (PRDPs)

In 2023 we will use the current system, PageUp, for the last time to review our achievements and performance outcomes.

From 2024, the process will take place in Workday, and streamline our goal setting – making it smoother, more efficient, and providing a better experience for you.  In Workday you will be able to give and receive ‘any time’ feedback, link your individual goals to organisational strategy, have the opportunity for regular reflection and check-ins, and much, much more.

Stay tuned.  In the coming weeks we will provide more guidance around how and when to have your 2023 PRDP finalised, with more detailed information and training on our Workday transition taking place closer to the implementation date.

Plan for the upcoming cutover period

The transition team needs your help to ensure a smooth and efficient process.  To avoid any unnecessary duplication of work or delays during cutover, please follow these instructions carefully:

All staff >PERSONAL INFO and BANK DETAILS: make important updates now >TIMESHEETS: ensure your claims are up-to-date >COMPLIANCE TRAINING: Complete ‘in progress’ training soon >LEAVE REQUESTS: Enter your requests into ESS now >PERFORMANCE REVIEWS: Complete the 2023 cycle in PageUp <>Managers | JOB CHANGES: if possible, action by early October or delay until Workday is live >APPROVALS: review and approve leave and time requests promptly

Your proactive involvement in completing these activities will contribute significantly to the success of our transition.

Thank you for your support as we continue preparing to embark on this exciting stage together.  These changes represent our commitment to continuous improvement and providing you with the best tools and processes to succeed.

If you would like to share feedback or request more information, please do not hesitate to reach out to myself or the workday@federation.edu.au team.

Kind regards,
