Biography
Professor Sisira Colombage is the Head of Business at the Institute of Innovation, Science and Sustainability. With a distinguished academic career spanning Australia, Sri Lanka, and Japan, he brings a wealth of international experience to his leadership role. Previously, Professor Colombage held academic appointments at Monash University and the University of Sri Jayewardenepura and completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Kobe University.
An expert in Finance, Professor Colombage specialises in Corporate Finance, Capital Markets, and Investment analysis. In recent years, his research has focused on the dynamic intersection of Financial Technology (Fintech) and Sustainable Finance, exploring how digital innovation can drive more responsible and efficient economic outcomes. He is deeply committed to postgraduate education, with a strong track record of supervising PhD and Honours candidates to successful completion.
His work is widely published in high-impact journals, including the Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, Journal of Behavioural and Experimental Finance, Pacific-Basin Finance Journal, and European Management Journal.
