Power On is an exhibition of selected artworks by current Gippsland Arts Academy artists and recent alumni. It is undertaken in a time of transition with a view to exploring art’s capacity for supporting regeneration and change. Art can power us up to enable a passage from one place to another, a transition for an individual person, a collective, or a change of political or ecological conditions.

Art awakens a singular view in the maker and another in each viewer. stirring the “making of thinking” and intensities of feeling. Art is an agent, a witness, and an ally in the tumult of life events whereby we look away from it all for a while to reveal a way forward that’s more deeply intentional.
