2024 Bachelor of Music Theatre and Acting: Audition Masterclass
Preparing for an audition can often be a daunting experience. Many people feel isolated during the preparation period - but that doesn't have to be the case!
Get audition-ready with our full-day audition workshop, led by respected Arts Academy teaching staff, and learn the skills you need for successful audition preparation. We will provide you with the opportunity to practise, present and perfect your material. We will also be able to guide you through the process of applying and auditioning for our Bachelor of Music Theatre and Acting (previously Bachelor of Perfoming Arts).

Workshop includes:
- Dance – This component will simulate your dance audition and give key pointers related to preparation.
- Voice – Learn how to embody your voice confidently and clearly in performance.
- Singing – Discover essential knowledge on song selection, performance technique and how to talk to an accompanist.
- Monologue – Discover how to work on your monologue for the audition.
- Audition application process – Guidance on completing the application form, VTAC requirements and ABC letters.
What to bring:
- Your own lunch (or access many cafés in central Ballarat).
- Comfortable clothes that you can move in. No jeans, belts, skirts, or dresses.
- Jazz shoes or trainers. No hard-soled shoes.
- Your own named, re-fillable water bottle.
