Standard cut-off dates
You'll need to meet our strict application cut-off dates so you have time to organise your student visa. We suggest you apply as early as possible to allow for processing.
Most courses use these standard cut-off dates. However, some have earlier deadlines for applications, genuine student documents, acceptance and payment. Refer to our non-standard cut-off dates (below) for more information or contact the International team on +61 3 5327 9018.

Non-standard cut-off dates

Nine weeks before your course start date
You must have submitted your application and all Genuine Student (GS) assessment documentation. This applies to both new and open applications.
Six weeks before your course start date
You must have completed your acceptance and had your payment cleared to the Federation University account.

Three weeks before your course start date
You must have submitted your application and all required documents. This applies to both new and open applications.
One week before your course start date
You must have received a payment confirmation from Federation University and met all conditions on your offer letter.
If you’re planning to do the English for Academic Purposes (EAP) course alongside your main study, your application cut-off date will be based on the start of your EAP term, not the standard dates above.
Missed the acceptance cut-off date?
If you received an offer letter but missed the acceptance and payment cut-off date, you might be able to defer (start your course later). To find out how, contact us via the StudyLink portal.
