Create a scholarship

Be a part of something meaningful. Donate to our scholarship program and empower Federation students to pursue their educational goals.

We rely on the generosity of donors to create new Foundation scholarships. These one-off or ongoing payments support a range of students – financially disadvantaged, care experienced, Indigenous, migrant, refugee, rural and others – who might otherwise be unable to afford to study.

In 2024, over 240 Foundation scholarships were awarded.

Interested in donating? We’ll work with you to create a scholarship under the name of you or a loved one (or your business name). You'll get to be involved in selecting the eligibility criteria and awarding the recipients. We’ll even send you updates about how your scholarship students are progressing through their studies.

I was able to select students and [I then] chose two winners. Plus, I receive progress updated on how they are travelling. This is where you can put a face to a name and see where your money is really going. Eventually they will go on to better and bigger future. "
— Dr Yvonne Zhou-Grundy came to Australia 30 years ago and completed her PhD at Victoria University. She decided to support Federation students by creating a scholarship for those doing the Certificate III in Engineering Fabrication or the Certificate IV in Engineering Drafting.
