Equity and inclusion support
We value our diverse community and work hard to make sure everyone is respected with equal opportunity to succeed and be themselves.

What we can help you with
We’ll work with you to make reasonable adjustments, so you can take part in your studies on the same basis as everyone else.
Your chosen name might be different from your legal ID. We’ll help you update your ID card, email address and display name on key systems.
Across our campuses, you’ll find inclusive and accessible student spaces including parent rooms, low-sensory quiet rooms, prayer rooms, LGBTIQA+ space and more.
If you’ve seen or experienced concerning behaviour, we’re here to help. We'll listen and guide you through your options. And if you don't feel comfortable reporting, you can still access a range of free support services.
Support for care experienced students
Have you spent time in out-of-home care, including foster, kinship, residential or permanent care? See how we can support you with enrolment, scholarship, mentoring and more.

Safer Communities
No one should experience discrimination, violence or harassment. Find out how we're working across every area of university life to make our campuses equitable and safe.
Equity and safer communities policies
We welcome the implementation of the National Higher Education Code to Prevent and Respond to Gender-based Violence and are developing a new Gender-based Violence Prevention and Response Plan scheduled for 2026.
We also have a number of policies and procedures in place to protect your rights and guide your actions if something happens.
Respectful and Inclusive Communities Action Plan
Our Respectful and Inclusive Communities Action Plan (RICAP) outlines how we’re working to ensure equal opportunity and freedom from discrimination, harassment and gender-based violence.
