Parking on campus
All of our campuses have plenty of free, permit and disability parking options.
Student & visitor parking
Permit parking is available at Mt Helen, SMB and Berwick campuses. You can have a single permit for up to three vehicles, but you can only park one of those vehicles on campus at a time.
You can buy an annual or semester-long permit. Permits are active from 15 January to 31 December, although if you buy one mid-year, you'll pay a pro rata rate.
Annual cost
Berwick Campus $150
Camp St Campus $150
Mt Helen & SMB campuses $150
How to apply for a permit
Get your permit through the VPermit portal. If you've never applied before, log in with your Federation details, go to select 'Apply for a VPermit' then choose your main campus and permit type and add your vehicle registration/s. If you're reapplying, log in, select ‘Manage Vehicles’ then choose your permit type. Check that your vehicle registration is correct (or add new registrations).
Visitors
If you're visiting Federation in an official capacity, your University contact should email propertyinfrastructure@federation.edu.au to request a daily parking permit.
If you don't have a permit but you'd like to park in a permit space at Mt Helen, SMB, or Berwick, you can pay casually using CellOPark. The first hour is free, and every hour after that costs $4 (capped at $12 for the day).
Follow the instructions on the car park signs or download the free CellOPark app from App Store or Google Play.
You'll need to use the relevant CellOPark zone number for registration:

If you receive an infringement notice but believe it's incorrect, you can submit an appeal online (with Federation University Australia as the agency name) or in writing. Written submissions should include the infringement details and your name and address, and be sent to Review – Federation University Australia, PO Box 577, Melton VIC 3337.
