The Gippsland Campus offers students and staff a wide range of world-class facilities and learning resources. The campus offers fully equipped lecture theatre and video conferencing facilities, an impressive library and study centre, computing labs, fitness and recreation facilities (both on-campus and within walking distance), student accommodation facilities and a comprehensive range of support and development services.
Hosted by the Faculty of Education and Arts, Switchback Gallery hosts exhibitions from students and other artists.
The Gippsland Campus bookshop provides a wide range of text books, stationery, FedUni merchandise and other materials for your convenience.

Child care and after-school care are readily available in Churchill, where the Gippsland Campus is located, and also in nearby towns.
Pooh Corner Child Care
This fully-accredited child care centre is run by the Gippsland Student Union (MUGSU) and provides long-term and occasional care for children up to five years old.

Cafe and bistro
The Gippsland Campus cafe and Winston's Bistro offer new menus daily. There is always plenty of variety on offer - whether you want a quick snack or a leisurely meal with a glass of wine.
Dietary needs receive careful consideration. All meat served on campus is halal certified. Gluten-free, lactose-free and vegetarian meals are all available.

Latrobe Leisure Centre
You can sign up for aerobics or other fitness classes at the Latrobe Leisure Centre in Churchill, which comprises a fully equipped gymnasium, squash courts, an indoor stadium for basketball or netball, a swimming pool and a sauna.
And best of all, this outstanding facility is located directly opposite the campus.
The Gippsland Campus library houses a comprehensive range of resources and facilities and is an inviting place for you to study or research.
Whether you're on-campus or online learning student, the library provides a portal to the entire Federation University Australia library.
An intra-library loan scheme allows students and staff to borrow material from a range of academic libraries.
If you are studying off-campus, you have access to a comprehensive range of library services. Online resources include books, journal articles, databases and websites – and if it's not online, our postal loans service will get it to you.
Make the most of everything the library has to offer. Tours, classes and drop-in sessions run by library staff will help you find your way around the library and learn how it operates. Our staff are always eager to show you the most effective ways to study and research.
With individual study booths to help you concentrate, the library is the obvious place to go when you want a quiet place to hit the books.
But we also have areas where you can get together with other students to develop a group project or discuss ideas, with screens, technology ports, interactive whiteboards and a presentation space all available.
There are also computers and printers for student use, and we have a wide range of resources and materials to help students undertaking industry placement and/or work experience.
Our multi-faith spiritual centre is a sacred and quiet space for prayer, reflection and meditation. It is open on weekdays, with bookings available by calling + 61 3 5122 6425.
The centre is located in room 1N105, next to the Gippsland campus bookshop.
Right on campus, or very close by, you'll find a multi-purpose sports field, a nine-hole golf course and basketball and tennis courts.
You'll also find a range of ways to get involved in competitive or social sporting competitions, both on-campus and throughout the local region, which has a proud sporting culture.
Student support services
The Gippsland Campus has a multi-faith chaplain available, providing:
- support, guidance and mentorship
- counselling on a range of personal or spiritual issues
- workshops, prayer and medication sessions
The Chaplaincy position is currently vacant, but a new an appointment will be made in due course.
Health and wellbeing
We do everything we can to support you throughout your time at the Gippsland Campus and encourage you to make the most of the opportunities university life offers.
As a student at the Gippsland Campus, you have full access to the University's comprehensive range of health and wellbeing services, including:

International student support
International students studying at Federation University Australia receive a comprehensive range of support services, to help them adjust to life in Australia and to assist them throughout their studies.
Regular events are held both on and off campus, allowing students to experience life in Australia and to develop new friendship and support networks. Our health and wellbeing staff are also available to assist with any issues you may be experiencing.
Our student union, MUGSU, organises regular on-campus social events that provide a great way to meet and get to know other students. For the more adventurous, MUGSU hosts an annual ski trip, as well as organising tours to some of Gippsland's most spectacular regions.
