The 2014 Autumn Salon

Wed 7 May - Thu 29 May 2014

The 2014 Autumn Salon, showcased works by the staff community of the Gippsland Campus of Federation University Australia.

This year's Salon included work from professional artists who teach at The Gippsland Centre for Art and Design, working in painting, printmaking, video, installation, performance, photography, sculpture, ceramics and multimedia – but wait there's more!

It was the work of the general campus workforce that surprised and delighted visitors to the last Salon. A previous Winter Salon at the campus unearthed a multiplicity of quilt-makers, painters documentary photographers and sculptors (amongst many other art forms) making impressive work.

Gippsland staff were surprised at what their colleagues got up to at night! The workmanship and creative zest that came out in the Salon was inspiring and shows why the Gippsland Campus is such an innovator within the wider University.

The 2014 Autumn Salon was on display until 29 May at the Switchback Gallery, Federation University Australia, Northways Road, Churchill.
