Casting calls

Project: FedUni Physical Education Scenarios

Cast: Mr Murray and his class

Number of videos: 12

Status: Open

The Federation University Digital Production team are currently looking for FedUni students who may be interested in an opportunity to appear in some video based scenarios that are being created for the Fed Physical Education course.

The team are working with Higher Ed PE teachers to create 12 videos with various themes and discussion topics. These 12 videos include 1 teacher and 6 students with a basic story line of how the teacher improves over time.

Details of the film shoot

  • Number of student volunteers: 5 – 6 students (Gender neutral students / students with disability are encouraged to apply for specific roles)
  • Filming Dates & Location: Filming will occur during the Semester break on Tuesday 29th June and Wednesday 30th June at P Building, Mt Helen campus. 8:30 – 4:30 with a lunch break.
*Schedule based on covid restrictions and room capacity
  • Expectation: We would have the expectation that if students are locked in, they will be able to commit due to scheduling and characters (with the exception they are unwell -  they will need to advise the team asap and not attend).
  • Experience: The scenarios are 1 – 2 minutes each. The scripts are only 1 – 2 pages. Each student may have a couple of lines per script, we would require the student to know their lines on the day so we stay on schedule. We will send scripts out 1.5 weeks prior to the film date.

This is not a paid position unfortunately – so in return, we are happy to cut together a small show reel for you to assist in your career enhancement and portfolio work. We would also require you to sign a Deed of Release form to be on film / in photos / on each other’s showreel footage (which may be published publicly at any point down the track).

Apply now

If you are interested or have any friends or classmates who are also available and interested, please email a little bit about yourself and your contact details (name, email, phone number, and photo (to match with characters)).
