Professional Development (PD) provides learning opportunities for academic and professional staff. PD includes student engagement, pedagogical underpinning of learning and teaching, teaching strategies, scholarship and research based on Boyer Principles of Scholarship (Scholarship Reconsidered) (PDF, 610kb) and approaches to enhance the student learning experience based on BOLD learning and teaching technologies.
The Centre for Learning, Innovation and Professional Practice (CLIPP) recognises the need to support and enhance all teaching staff with the fundamental and advanced knowledge and skills required to proficiently undertake face-to-face, blended and online teaching within a higher education institution.
The CLIPP Learning & Teaching Professional Development Framework (PDF, 682kb) has been developed to support academic teaching staff navigate the professional development offered within CLIPP to enable the transition from industry practitioner or researcher, to higher education teacher. Components include:
