Strength and conditioning

Study in the only Master of Strength and Conditioning Course in Australia that has face-to-face delivery.

To develop the knowledge, practical coaching skills, accreditation and experience to work as a strength and conditioning coach, post-graduate studies are very important. The Master of Strength and Conditioning has been designed to equip you with the attributes you need. You will work closely with experienced staff who are passionate about strength and conditioning and want to help you achieve your career goals. This face-to-face program is delivered in Ballarat, a regional city known for its rich history and thriving sporting culture. Ballarat is a commutable driving distance from Melbourne or Geelong.

In addition to participating in engaging tutorials and hands-on practical classes, you will be provided with opportunities to work in the field through practical placements. The placements will allow you to work directly with athletes and coaches locally, nationally or overseas.

If you have, or are graduating with a degree in exercise and sport science (or equivalent), physical education, or physiotherapy, find out more about the Master of Strength and Conditioning.

“What sets this Master in Strength and Conditioning apart is the face-to-face delivery. The practical nature of the degree is so important when preparing for the world outside academia” - Andrew Russell, Elite Performance Manager, Hawthorn Football Club (Federation University graduate and coach of six AFL premiership teams)

This program covers all content and experience required to gain accreditation for level 2 Strength and Conditioning coach with the Australian Strength and Conditioning Association (ASCA), and level 1 Sport Scientist with Exercise and Sport Science Australia (ESSA)
