A phenomenological study of the perceptions of next of kin (NOK) / significant others (SO) of patients who have received ‘end of life care’ in the intensive care.

This study seeks to identify, explore and describe the lived experience of individual people that are next of kin and or significant others of people that have been patients in the intensive care and have received end of life care. This will assist present and future health care professional’s delivery of care and provide an in-depth insight into how to meet and support the needs of the patient, NOK and significant others. Participants who agree to participate in the research will be asked to take part in an interview in person or via zoom/ phone.
