Biography
Since joining the university in 2000 as a lecturer in IT Kylie has focused her teaching on first year courses including programming and communication. During this time Kylie has also held a number of administrative and student support roles including Flexible Learning Coordinator, Program Coordinator and First Year Coordinator. Kylie is passionate about attracting female students into IT and, along with her colleague Sally Firmin, has started work on Women of SITE.
Kylie is currently seconded to the position of Lecturer (Curriculum Design). This role involves providing advice and support to all teaching staff within the School to develop enriched and active learning experiences for all students.
Prior to joining the university Kylie worked for a local internet service provider as a systems administrator and as a graduate programmer for MITS Limited.
