Dr Linh Nguyen received a PhD degree in Robotics from the world-leading Robotics Institute at University of Technology Sydney (UTS), Australia. Before joining the School of Engineering, Information Technology and Physical Sciences at Federation University Australia, he worked for the School of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and the UTS Robotics Institute, University of Technology Sydney, Australia.
Dr Nguyen has obtained solid experience and track records in the field of active learning and sequential decision making for robotics and sensors predicting spatial phenomena. He was involved in the multi-million dollar research projects funded by Sydney Water Corporation to develop the autonomous systems for non-destructive evaluating the aged water mains and predicting their critical conditions. He has served as an editorial board member, session chair and active reviewer for many prestigious international journals and conferences. His research interests include robotics, active learning, sequential decision making and adaptive sampling.
