PhD topic summary

Engagement with family services in Inner Gippsland by families experiencing vulnerability

This PhD focuses on why families experiencing vulnerability engage and/or disengage with family services in Inner Gippsland. It will address targeted services for those experiencing vulnerability in the context of voluntary service delivery. The meaning of engagement for parents and practitioners will be examined, and their views on barriers to engagement and possible solutions. Issues will be explored with a view to improving the system and policy to enable better access and service experience by families and prevent statutory interventions.
