Young people's perceptions have the potential to guide, inspire, challenge and transform mainstream notions of learning. The organising committee for Open Dialogue: Contemporary Learning in a Regional Community invites local children and young people to produce a creative response to the question "What is learning like in the 21st Century?"
Children and young people have the option of producing a still image (such as a model, photograph, written word response) or a 3 minute moving image presentation, which expresses what learning is like for young people in the 21st Century. All entries must be either delivered to the School of Education and Arts (SEA) Admin office at Federation University's Camp St campus or Mt Helen campus, or emailed to email@example.com by 5pm on Monday 26th May 2014 to qualify for entry.
Selected entries will be publically displayed or shown at the conference on Friday the 6th June, 2014. There are prizes up for grabs which include a $50 Smiggle voucher for the winner of the primary aged category and a $50 voucher from Ballarat Books for the winner of the secondary aged category. Certificates will also be awarded to all short-listed entries. Details and an entry form can be downloaded here (pdf, 882kb)
