Welcome to the School of Arts at Federation University Australia.
In 2019, the School of Arts is launching a completely new set of programs across performing arts, visual arts, ceramics, communication design, criminal justice, community and human services, social work, social science, and humanities. Prepare to be challenged!
You will join a vibrant learning community with outstanding lecturers and researchers. Our contemporary curriculum is typically delivered through ‘blended’ mode, combining high quality online learning with face-to-face seminars, workshops and studio practice.
You will have access to high quality teaching in a personalised learning environment. There are many opportunities for work placement, internships, major projects, professional experience and excursions. As a result, our graduates enjoy among the best employment outcomes in Australia.
Our School is deeply engaged in our communities. Staff and students participate in a range of activities including exhibitions, performances, public seminars, community projects, advocacy, pop-up shops, and voluntary work.
Our research in history and heritage studies, as well as in human society has been rated as ‘at world class.’ Our research is engaged and carries high impact. We have highly regarded research centres (the Collaborative Research Centre in Australian History, and the Centre for Gippsland Studies), innovative research partnerships with industry, government and the not-for-profit sector (through the Inner Gippsland and Central Highlands Child and Youth Area Partnerships, together with RISER – the Regional Incubator for Social and Economic Research), as well as several active research groups. We have a large and growing cohort of PhD and Masters by Research students, many of whom are working on projects linked to industry.
Welcome to the School of Arts at FedUni – the start of an incredible journey.
