Food science and technology
The Certificate IV in Food Science and Technology provides an initial qualification in food technology for leading hands, supervisors, technical assistants (including quality control technicians), and food operators with relevant experience.
Designed to suit the needs of both employers and employees – Federation TAFE has adapted its training delivery so that over 80% of the program is delivered online – enabling students to complete their studies at a time that suits everyone's needs.
The face to face study requirement is an eight day block of study at our Mt Helen Campus — required to complete the practical components of core units. However, depending on employer facilities – even some of this component can be completed in the workplace.
