Christine has more than 15 years’ experience teaching law subjects, mainly taxation. She has previously worked as a full time academic at RMIT University, Deakin University and Monash University.

She also has significant industry experience as a GST/VAT specialist, and has worked in the Asia Pacific region and Europe. Christine was previously a Director in Indirect Tax at KPMG Malaysia, and a specialist at the International Bureau of Fiscal Documentation, the world’s foremost authority on cross-border taxation.

In 2019, Christine was the recipient of the Australasian Tax Teacher’s Association Promoting Women in Tax Academia Scholarship.

She is a member of the University’s Higher Education Curriculum Committee and Learning and Teaching Committee. Both of these committees are Standing committees of the University’s Academic Board

Teaching areas

Christine is currently the course coordinator for the course BULAW5916 Taxation Law and Practice in the Master of Professional Accounting. She also teaches Income Tax Law and Practice in the Bachelor of Commerce.
