FedUni Industry Skills Centre in conjunction with Powercor will award up to four scholarships to female students undertaking a Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start) to motivate and encourage females to consider a career in the electrical industry.

Powercor is among Australia’s largest electricity distribution networks and own and manages the poles and wires that delivers electricity to more than a million homes in Victoria.

Eligibility criteria

  • Be a female enrolled a Certificate II in Electrotechnology (Career Start) at FedUni
  • Demonstrated a commitment to the electrical trade industry through participation in course requirements
  • Provide evidence of commitment to the electrical industry outside of the program eg: interest in trade work, school reports or previous work experience
  • Successfully complete all course requirements

Residency requirements

  • Australian or New Zealand Citizen
  • Permanent Australian Resident
  • Holder of a Permanent Humanitarian Visa

Additional Information

Powercor will offer the successful applicants an industry tour and mentor assistance program as part of this award.

Scholarship holders are invited to apply for any apprenticeship opportunities available with Powercor FedUni reserves the right to not award a scholarship if suitable applicants are not identified.
