Biography

Dr Ben Wills is Lecturer in Management within the Federation Business School, where he teaches entrepreneurship and innovation related subjects. Dr Wills has expertise in the disciplines of management, human geography and economics.

Ben is primarily focused on government and industry funded research projects exploring how information and communication technologies can enable more sustainable and transparent food systems. These include the Australian Research Council funded Pathways-to-Market project, the Grains Research and Development Corporation funded Online Farm Trials project and the Soil CRC funded Collaborative Approaches to Innovation project. He has also conducted research into the application of novel social enterprise business models within the context of Australia’s emergency food relief sector.

As well as authoring numerous industry reports, Ben’s research has been published in highly ranked, peer-reviewed academic journals including Food Policy and Agriculture and Human Values.
