Join a university that puts student support and wellbeing first

Having accessible support is a vital part of returning to study.

A lot of people worry about pursuing further education or returning to study, wondering how they can possibly fit study into their already jam-packed schedules. We get it - life is busy! But at Federation, we work with you to make sure study fits into your life and that you have the support you need to thrive during your time with us.

Explore some of the services we have available to support you every step of the way:

If you need guidance on an assignment or are looking to refresh your memory on study skills like referencing and academic reading, we're here to help.

Make an appointment with a learning skills advisor to discuss that assignment or have those skills re-introduced to you, and make sure you’re on the right track. Make an appointment.

We have flexible study modes and alternative delivery methods available to all students, such as part-time, online, and blended modes of study to help you fit your degree around your busy lifestyle. Visit our Study modes page to find out more.

We understand that sometimes – especially when returning to study – you have to fit uni around your children, part-time or full-time work or carer requirements. We can show you how to manage your time better, how to fit your life around your study, and how to fit study around your life.

All new students at Federation University are automatically enrolled in our FedReady program, available in the Moodle dashboard. FedReady is filled with useful information for all students commencing their studies at Federation University, whether they be commencing undergraduate or postgraduate studies.

Services like the ASK Desk can address any queries or concerns you might have. The Ask Desk is open from 8:00 am – 6:00 pm online. You don’t need an appointment and you don’t even need to fully understand what you need help with, you can just walk up, or jump online and talk to an expert.
