Bill Meinhardt studied Engineering at the Ballarat School of Mines (SMB), and he graduated from the University of Melbourne in 1955. He started a Melbourne-based international engineering consultancy named 'Meinhardt' in 1955. It grew from a one person operation to a global multidisciplinary business employing over 1100 people in 13 countries. Meinhardt is recognised for its part in the construction of Melbourne's Nauru House and the Rialto Towers, as well as the redevelopment of Sydney's Queen Victoria Buildings, the Bank of China in Hong Kong and the OUB building in Singapore.
