Earth and light

This exhibition celebrates the rich tradition of ceramics education and talent at Federation University across the last century. It showcases a variety of works from the University’s Art Collection, and features artists Mark Reid, Janet De Boos, Coralee Asker and Debbie Hill, all of whom have been associated with the university and the timeless possibilities of the ceramic form.

Starting from this world of organic, earth-borne clay, allow these works to take you on a journey through the darker, fired and glazed pieces to monochrome porcelain vessels. Turned by the talented artists’ hand, these earthly beginnings transcend to heavenly light.
