Known for our supportive and inclusive environment, we understand that everyone’s situation is different. That’s why we now offer a range of pathways to study our diploma and bachelor degrees to help you achieve your dream career.

If you don’t meet our academic and/or English language requirements, a pathway is the perfect way to ensure you gain guaranteed entry into your first or second year studies at Federation University.

Not only will you study at our flagship Mt Helen Campus and be immersed in our higher education culture, you’ll benefit from personalised learning opportunities, additional English language support, small class sizes and be taught by academics from all around the world. This means we know and understand the diverse needs of our students and we can tailor education to meet Australia’s multicultural service needs.

Foundation studies

Develop your English and academic skills in a supportive environment, with Fed’s pre-university qualification, the Foundation Studies program. Designed as a bridging course to prepare you for university studies, you’ll learn in small classes, receive specialised education and additional English language support.

Higher education diplomas

The higher education diplomas allow you to choose your area of specialisation from day one – better preparing you for your Bachelor degree. Guaranteed pathway into the first or second year of an undergraduate degree exists for students that successfully complete the diploma program.

English pathways

If you don’t meet the English language entry requirements for the course of your choice, you can find a pathway with an English and Academic Preparation (EAP) course. These courses will assist you to gain entry into our higher education degrees that require an Academic IELTS of 6.0, 6.5 or 7.0.
