Agreement builds pathways between Fed Uni and Chisholm

Posted: Tuesday 1 December 2020

Federation University and Chisholm Institute have partnered to improve access to degree courses for students in Melbourne’s south-east and Mornington Peninsula regions.

A pathways agreement will allow students completing specified courses at Chisholm to apply for credits in degrees at Federation University from 2021.

Study areas covered by the agreement range from community and human services, nursing, education, business and IT disciplines to environmental and conservation science and digital media technologies. Full details are on the University’s website.

The expansive Berwick campuses of Chisholm and Federation University sit either side of Clyde Road close to major road and rail infrastructure that supports the extensive population and economic growth of the region.

The values of Federation University and Chisholm Institute closely align around the development of lifelong learning for students from many backgrounds.

This agreement presents many opportunities for both organisations, including increased options for students to continue their studies, co-development of new courses through Chisholm’s new College of Higher Education and Federation University that meet the needs of industry, and cross-institutional, locally relevant applied research outputs.
