Program to boost Ballarat business spirits

Posted: Wednesday 15 April 2020

Federation University Australia has today launched a business development program in partnership with Commerce Ballarat to help local businesses navigate the challenging climate of COVID-19.

‘Connect Evolve Recover 2020’ will feature a comprehensive six-month program of development and promotion to help businesses connect with each other and prepare for change.

This includes identifying customers’ evolving needs and priorities in a time of social distancing, as well as ways for businesses to build up their online presence.

There will be regular webinars, information sessions and keynote speakers, along with a marketing campaign ‘Ballarat’s Biggest Shout Out’, where the community will be asked to share stories of their favourite businesses.

The initiative replaces the 2020 Federation Business School Commerce Ballarat Business Excellence Awards, which has been postponed until 2021 due to the pandemic.

Connect Evolve Recover 2020 will culminate in an event on 29 October where the Ballarat business community can come together and bid farewell to 2020.
