Olympic champion Kowalski to address University

Former Olympic swimming champion Daniel Kowalski will speak about diversity, inclusion and equality at a special event at Federation University Australia’s Mt Helen Campus. 

To be delivered as part of Campus Life Pride Week activities, Daniel will give a fascinating insight into his life and career. 

Daniel was heavily involved in Australia’s Marriage Equality campaign, serving as an Ambassador and spokesperson, travelling to all corners of the country promoting equality for all. He also serves as an ambassador for beyondblue and the Pinnacle Foundation. 

Daniel, an Australian freestyle swimmer won four Olympic medals at two Games - one gold, one silver and two bronze.

His career was plagued with injury, illness, adversity and disappointment, but he managed to push through it all to succeed in his goals and he now uses his experiences to assist others.

This free event will be held on Tuesday 14 May starting at 6:00pm in the Geoffrey Blainey Auditorium, Mount Helen Campus, with supper provided.
